Kwon Jae-Ki
Abstract
The liveable city means a city where citizens, who are actual residents, live comfortably and feel happy. The satisfaction level of citizens differs according to the area of residence and environment, and the degree of satisfaction affects the quality of life and mental health. In this study, 13 indicators were selected out of various requirements for living in the city, and the Liveable city of Seoul profile was explored and classified. The differences in sharing behavior, life stress, social inequality perception and preparation for old age were examined by group type of the derived Seoul profile. The subjects of this study were a total of 42,991 people living in Seoul. As a result of the analysis, five groups(dissatisfaction type, living environment satisfaction type, average type, satisfaction type, resident participation type) were classified, and characteristic differences were found in demographic characteristics and administrative districts for each group type derived. Lastly, among the group types of the Seoul profile where they want to live, the dissatisfied type had the highest perception of life stress and social inequality. It was found that the living environment satisfaction type showed the lowest sharing behavior and the least preparedness to raise funds for old-age living. Satisfaction type had the lowest perception of life stress and social inequality, and the highest perception of appropriate monthly living expenses after retirement. It was found that the resident participation type showed the highest sharing behavior and was well prepared to raise funds for old-age living.
